Authors Vivian Ching, PhD, is a pioneering thought leader at the intersection of business strategy, creative innovation, and AI in the creative industries. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in business management at Ravensbourne University London, she holds five degrees from prestigious institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. Her academic achievements include a PhD in quality management, three master’s degrees in engineering, international economic law, and management, as well as a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Warwick, the University of Bath, and the University of Virginia, respectively. As an internationally acclaimed artist, Dr. Ching has held 18 exhibitions worldwide, including a record-breaking art-tech collaboration project with Canon which allowed her to become the first Hong Kong artist to showcase artwork in space, garnering features in over 80 media outlets, including Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Tatler, Time Out, and Marie Claire. She regularly advises Fortune 500 companies on the value of STEAM education and serves as British Council Alumni UK Regional Ambassador for North East Asia, Court Member at the University of Bath, Trustee of the National Association of Gallery Education (Engage), and School Governor at the Norton Knatchbull School. With her hands-on interdisciplinary expertise and experiences, Dr. Ching is poised to lead meaningful conversations on how AI will shape the future of creative industries. Dinesh Mothi, PhD, is a Professor of computer science at Richmond American University London. He brings over 20 years of expertise in digital forensics, AI, and cybersecurity. In fact, cultural and creative industries (CCIs) represent one of the fastest-growing sectors globally, with an immense impact on the economy and employment. According to a 2023 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) report, CCIs have an estimated global worth of USD 4.3 trillion annually, making up 6.1% of the global economy. These industries generate substantial annual revenues of USD 2,250 billion and provide nearly 30 million jobs worldwide, employing mainly young people aged 15–29 years. The importance of CCIs extends beyond financial metrics; they are crucial for inclusive economic growth, reducing inequalities, and are integral in achieving the goals set out in the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda. Over the past 20 years, the United Kingdom has solidified its position as a global creative hub. The demand for specialist technical talent and skilled creative workers has reached unprecedented levels. According to the House of Lords Library, employment within the UK creative sector has skyrocketed by 30% since 2011, which is three times the national average growth rate. The creative industries contribute £101.5 billion per year to the UK economy, with over 2 million jobs within the sector and an additional 1 million individuals employed in creative roles outside traditional creative industries. This upward trajectory shows no signs of slowing, with latest projections from a 2023 McKinsey report indicating a 30–40% rise in demand for creative jobs by 2030. The growth of creative industries globally is underpinned by substantial investments in research and innovation. For instance, initiatives including the UK Creative Industries Clusters Programme have fostered collaboration between academia and industry, driving job creation, skill development, and technological advancements. A study by University College London (UCL) revealed that children involved in arts activities scored notably higher on self-esteem measures compared with their peers who did not participate in such activities.
